Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders or eating disorders are still characterized by prejudice and shame, yet they are widespread.

Even before the stresses of the pandemic, nearly a quarter of students surveyed reported symptoms of severe exhaustion. Last year was a particularly stressful one and we can already see a marked increase in mental health complaints among students.

Therefore, this year it is even more important to draw attention to the topic of mental health with a theme week.

 

During the week of May 17 – May 21, 2021, we are offering online events about mental health, mindfulness and self-care and almost daily participation sessions with professionals who teach you about stress-relief techniques such as yoga or meditation via Zoom Livestream.

 

The events are open to all interested students, whether or not they have had experience with mental health problems. Participation is possible without registration and free of charge for all CAU students. The events are held in German, with the exception of the digital traveling exhibition, which is in english.
