“Als Studierendenvertretung der CAU Kiel möchten wir uns ausdrücklich gegen Rassismus aussprechen und stehen in Solidarität mit Schwarzen Menschen und der Schwarzen
Studierendenschaft.
Wir erkennen insbesondere das Problem institutionellen sowie strukturellen Rassismus an und, dass eine Hochschule davon bereits dem Grunde nach nicht frei ist. Aber wir möchten unsere Kapazitäten und Kraftanstrengungen genau dahinein verlegen, denn die CAU Kiel kann nur so
exzellent sein, wie sie antirassistisch und antidiskriminierend ist. Wir möchten, dass die CAU Kiel ein rassismus- und diskrimierungsfreier Lehr- und Lernort ist und
bleibt, dafür braucht es aber mehr als Lippenbekenntnisse, es braucht Handlungen die erkennbar einen Impact (Wirkung) auf das Leben von Menschen mit Rassismus und/oder
Diskriminierungserfahrungen haben, Anlaufstellen die Hilfe leisten und Konsequenzen für Menschen die gegen ein offenes und respektvolles Miteinander an unserer Universität agieren.

Statement by the Asta of Kiel University on anti-racism and anti-discrimination
“As the student representative of Kiel University, we would like to expressly speak up against racism and stand in solidarity with black people and the black people student body. We recognize in particular the problem of institutional and structural racism and that a university is not free of it in principle. But we want to shift our capacities and efforts to exactly that, because Kiel University can only be as excellent, as it is anti-racist and anti-discriminatory.
We want Kiel University to be a place for teaching and learning that is free of racism and discrimination, and remains, but it needs actions that recognize an impact (effect) on the lives of people with racism and/or Discrimination experiences have, contact points provide the help and consequences for people who act against an open and respectful coexistence at our university.
