The Deutschland-Semesterticket

What is the Deutschland-Semesterticket?
The national semester ticket is your access to public transport throughout Germany. It is valid nationwide for all buses and trains with the exception of DB long-distance trains (ICE/IC/EC...) and long-distance buses.
You do not need to buy any additional tickets to use it, as you have already paid for the Deutschland-Semesterticket with your semester fee for the entire semester.
The ticket comes as a digital cell phone ticket (in the NAH.SH app) and alternatively as a chip card and must be activated for each semester.
The CAU-Card and your certificate of enrollment are not valid as a ticket.
What can I do with it?
Das Deutschland-Semesterticket gilt rund um die Uhr für beliebig viele Fahrten mit dem Nahverkehr (Bahn, Bus, Tram, U-Bahnen und S-Bahnen) in der 2. What can I not do with it?
... use long-distance transportation and long-distance buses. The Deutschland-Semesterticket is not valid on long-distance trains and long-distance buses. In the event of delays in local transport, long-distance trains can be released for students with a semester ticket.
