Student employees
Am I entitled to vacation? What can I do if I am discriminated against at work? What does a trade union actually do? Not everyone can answer these questions. Even students with part-time jobs do not always manage to deal with their rights in addition to their duties at work. For this reason, the Student Employee Commission is committed to providing information about the general conditions of student employment and also to improving them in the long term.
Beauftragung is equally committed to both students employed at the CAU and those who work outside the university. This includes all possible employment relationships, from mini-jobs and student assistants to working students.
In order to inform you about your rights, the commission organizes information events and workshops. Furthermore, networking and general positioning are an important role of student representation. Finally, we are happy to answer any questions you may have about student employment!
Here are a few examples of when it might be worth contacting the commissioning service:
- you are super dissatisfied with your current job and want to change something, whether for you personally or on a political level
- you are dissatisfied with a structural aspect of student employment and perhaps already have an idea of what could be done about it
- you are studying and have a general question about jobs
The commission explicitly expresses solidarity with the TVStud alliance and its goal of achieving a collective agreement for student employees.
