Social policy
Dear students!
We are the socio-political department of the AStA and are committed to a non-discriminatory campus. It is important to us that students are able to study without restrictions, i.e. everyone should have the opportunity to study well at the university and be able to complete their studies. We stand behind the students and their interests and accompany you on your way!
As a department, we take care of your social concerns in every respect. What exactly does that mean?
- Improving the health situation (e.g. by improving subject-specific study conditions and thus preventing burnout situations)
- We want to improve your financial situation and support you, e.g. with BAföG, housing benefit, in order to avoid having to take out a student loan; this also includes the compatibility of studying and family life
- support for students with disabilities (mental and/or physical illness, chronic illness, disability, etc.) and minorities, e.g. by improving the services offered by the integration offices
We are an independent body that fully represents your problems and interests. And of course we will advise you anonymously, i.e. nothing will be made public, but will remain in a protected space!
We also organize events such as the Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW). If you have any ideas that you would like to see at the MHAW, please write to us.
Don't be shy, come along at any time! We look forward to seeing you!
