The Queer Department of the AStA at CAU Kiel represents the queer community within the AStA and the CAU Diversity Advisory Board. Our goals are to raise awareness of and educate about queer identities, as well as to protect queer individuals both on and off campus. That is why intersectional anti-discrimination and prevention work is part of our mandate.

In addition, we want to help foster the inclusion of queer students at the University of Kiel and ensure that you feel not only welcome but also valued at our university. We believe that queer people can learn from one another and, at the same time, have many experiences and perspectives to offer that are valuable to non-queer people as well.
