Inclusion
The topic of “inclusion” has become increasingly important in all areas of society in recent years and it goes without saying that we at Kiel University are also dealing with it intensively.
Students with disabilities and/or chronic illnesses are underrepresented in everyday university life. The provision of information for affected students is also very complex and largely not yet barrier-free. I am therefore trying to simplify the provision of information for affected students and to present an additional offer of help. I would like to continue to monitor the CAU's action plan and develop it further through the advisory board, according to my possibilities. In doing so, I would like to assist the CAU if the Presidential Board or other committees, departments, faculties, etc. need help. need help. Of course, the same applies to you students. Mailing list and networking
Since the summer of 2021, there has been a mailing list through which news about events relating to inclusion is sent out. You can subscribe to the list to be notified about events, offers, tips and other information. The mailing list is specifically aimed at students with (mental) impairments, disabilities and/or chronic illnesses. However, interested parties and multipliers are also welcome to sign up to stay informed.
The events and information on this list are primarily focused on the CAU University and studying. If there are interesting digital offers, these can also be forwarded under certain circumstances.
You are welcome to send me relevant event information, which I can then forward via the mailing list. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding this mailing list or if you would like to have an informal and confidential exchange on the subject of studying with a disability and/or chronic illness, please feel free to contact me personally. My e-mail address is: inklusion@asta.uni-kiel.de
You can find out exactly how to register for the mailing list here:
- via E-Mail to sympa@lists.uni-kiel.de with subject or content “subscribe inklusive-uni“
or - online via this link
So if you have any questions about studying with chronic illnesses and/or disabilities, please write me an e-mail and I will try to help you as best I can.
