Instructions for filling out the application for refundof the semester ticket fee

In the first field, please enter the semester in question for which the paid-in fee is to be refunded. The postal address should be the one where we can currently reach you.

State-wide semester ticket:

If you have chosen a paper ticket instead of an online ticket, we need this as proof for processing your application.

Reasons for refund:

If indicating "de-registration/cancellation of enrollment", please attach a COPY of the respective certificate and the remittance slip for the semester requested for reimbursement.
If indicating "leave of absence," please attach a COPY of the student transcript with the notation "on leave of absence."
Bei der Angabe „Doppelstudium“ bitte die entsprechenden Immatrikulationsnachweise der CAU und der anderen Hochschule an der das DE-Semesterticket angeboten wird, sowie eine Bestätigung, dass dort keine Erstattung des Tickets beantragt wurde.
When indicating "free transportation due to disability", please attach a COPY of the appropriate ID.
If indicating "Non-use of public transportation due to disability", please attach a COPY of the appropriate identification.
Bei der Angabe „Studienabschnitt außerhalb des Semesterticketeinzugsbereichs“ bitte eine KOPIE der Studienbescheinigung, sowie des entsprechenden Nachweises beilegen (Erasmus- Formular/Praktikumsvertrag/Bestätigung der anderen Hochschule/etc.). Wir müssen erkennen können, dass du dich studien- oder forschungsbedingt nicht im Semesterticketeinzugsbereich aufhältst. Dies gilt auch für Promotionen.
Bei der Angabe „Einreisehindernis: Visaprobleme, unverschuldet nicht nach Deutschland einreisen können“ bitte entsprechende Nachweise oder eine KOPIE der entsprechenden Nachweise beilegen (VISA Mailverkehr, Aufenthaltstitel, Screenshot Flugverbote, Screenshot Einreiseverbote, ggf. Attest Krankheit/etc.). Wir müssen erkennen können, dass du dich unverschuldet nicht im Semesterticketeinzugsbereich aufhältst.

The information that you do not need the semester ticket or that you do not live in Kiel is not sufficient for a refund.

Deadlines for application submission: Generally by the end of the first month of the semester (April/October)!

Exception: In the case of exmatriculation, the application can be submitted by 28.02. or 31.08., provided that the exmatriculation took place no later than in the first month of the semester (April/October).
