Teacher training studies

Have you decided to study to become a teacher at CAU or are you already fully enrolled?

Then the AStA Teacher Training Department will answer your questions about studying to become a teacher and represent your interests vis-à-vis politicians and the Presidential Board. We stand up for the interests of student teachers across all subjects, work continuously for you in university committees to optimize teacher training, exchange ideas with the ZfL and the student councils and regularly offer useful workshops on teacher training-related topics! These include, for example, first aid courses, time management workshops and events to help you get off to a good start in your traineeship. All of these things are designed to ensure that your studies run as smoothly as possible and that you feel comfortable.

The teaching degree program is not an independent subject, but a profile, which is why there is no teaching student council. Consequently, all teacher training students are represented by the AStA Teacher Training Department. If you have any questions or difficulties during your time at university, we can be contacted by email and during agreed consultation hours in the information office in Mensa 1 - we are also open to all suggestions regarding the teacher training course and would be delighted if you could give us feedback on how your studies are going.
