Culture

As the AStA’s culture department, we see ourselves as an open space for ideas, exchange, and collaborative creation. At the same time, we are a political space where culture is not merely viewed as “neutral,” but also fosters a sense of community. Our goal is therefore to create a diverse range of cultural activities that bring us students together in our often hectic daily lives, inspire us, and at the same time shed light on social issues and encourage discussion.

We see our mission as fostering creativity in all its forms—whether as a means of expression, as a form of critique, or as an opportunity to question the status quo. Through events, projects, and collaborations, we aim to create spaces that make life at the university more vibrant and enjoyable.

In this context, treating one another with solidarity and respect is particularly important to us. We view culture as a communal and political process that thrives on openness, mutual support, and active participation. We are committed to actively countering discriminatory structures and exclusion, and to creating spaces that are accessible to as many people as possible.

We are committed to creating a diverse and accessible range of activities—from small workshops to larger concerts—while highlighting different perspectives. Whether it’s music, soccer, screen printing, or a fun evening together with dancing and conversation.

You are warmly invited to share your ideas with us and to help shape cultural life at our university in a critical, creative, and collaborative spirit. We look forward to exchanging ideas with you and are always here to support you if you have any suggestions or ideas. Just send us an email or come talk to us!
