The General Student Advisory Service helps with all questions and problems relating to studying, e.g:

- Study programs and their requirements
- Additional requirements of the subjects (e.g. languages)
- Application and admission requirements
- Combinations for Bachelor and Master programs
- Overview of creating a timetable
- Reorientation in studies and change of subject area
- Degrees and main contents of the study subjects
- Access to the Master's program
- Internships and career entry
- Additional and key qualifications
- Interdisciplinary professional fields (e.g. journalism, PR)
- Student financing (overview information on BAföG, scholarships, social benefits, etc.)
- Double, postgraduate and second degree courses
- Change of study place and university
- Study programs offered by other universities
